Abstract
New technologies applied to tourism are necessary to offer an added value to tourists. A particular case can be an augmented reality that allows developing applications that improve the visitor’s experience. It is very interesting to customize the information displayed, mainly through the use of recommendation systems.
We present in this paper an augmented reality system applied to tourism, context-aware that uses hybrid recommendation techniques, with an adaptive and open architecture. This architecture is aimed to facilitate the integration of augmented reality applications in management systems for tourist destinations.
Key words: Augmented reality, tourism, quality tourism, recommendation systems, mobile technology
